Our U17 Boys participated in the 2009 Plantation Thanksgiving Tournament.

In our first game we played Boca Juniors (a Final 8 team from last year’s State Cup) and the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

In our second game we defeated Greater Osceola County Falcons 3-0.

In our third game we defeated Weston FC Nike 5-0.

We ended up in a tie for first place in our group with Boca Juniors on points, goals for, goals against, goal difference. The next tie breaker was penalty shootout.

As we all know, this is usually a matter of nerves.

We lost in the penalty shootout to the eventual winners of the tournament, Boca Juniors.

This was our second tournament for the season where we have not lost a game, but failed to reach the final by virtue of a tie-breaker.

However, we have brushed ourselves off, picked ourselves up, and we are bouncing back with renewed focus, determination, vigor and hard work.
